The 14th century castle was at one time the grandest castle in Northern England. It was a favourite residence of Richard III and Henry VIII and is steeped in 600 years of royal history. This unique venue, located just 25 minutes north of York, is licensed for weddings. Experience this beautiful historic backdrop for your perfect day, with private use of the castle and courtyard itself. The Sounding Hall is licensed for 56 guests, no one will forget your wedding here!

ACCOMMODATION ON SITE
We have four beautiful locations on site for you or your guests to stay should you wish. Each equipped with en-suite facilities and sleeping two people. Stay within the castle walls in the shepherds hut, or take an outside view of the castle and surrounding country side with Castle Lodge, Castle Court and Castle View.
