The 14th century, Grade II listed, Sheriff Hutton Castle was at one time the grandest castle in Northern England. It was a favourite residence of Richard III and Henry VIII and is steeped in 600 years of royal history. This unique, multi-function venue, located just 25 minutes north of York, is licensed for weddings. The setting would suit any event from a party to a photographic backdrop or filming location. The Sounding Hall can seat 60 people and together with the huge Courtyard, the uses are only limited by imagination.

Quoted as being "UK's coolest & most unique wedding venue", Sheriff Hutton Castle's Sounding Hall is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 56 guests with space in the courtyard for a marquee catering for 150+ people.
There are no restrictions for marquee and catering companies, allowing you flexibility for your unique and special day.
Available for weddings between April and October.
Set within the privacy of the atmospheric courtyard, this cosy Shepherd's Hut includes; double bed, kitchen area with double gas hob and fridge, there is also a shower room complete with toilet. Exclusive use of entire inner courtyard.
